2024 Encore Music Recital (Voice & Piano)

  • The recitals will take place on Saturday May 18th at the Rivertown Theaters, 325 Minor St, Kenner.
  • Ms. Maria, Mr. Karl, and Ms. Elise’s students:
    – Rehearsal starts at 9:45am
    – Recital starts at 11:00am
  • Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Ashley’s students:
    – Rehearsal starts at 12:15pm
    – Recital starts at 1:30pm
  • Running time is approximately 1 hour
  • A $25 recital fee will be charged to your account on May 1st.
  • Theater doors will open for general seating 10 minutes prior to the recital.  No tickets are necessary.
  • Parents are not allowed in the theater during rehearsal.  This rehearsal will give the musicians a chance to get accustomed to performing on the piano / microphone with stage lights.
  • During the recital, students will sit in a designated area in the theater to watch the performance and will return to that spot after they perform.  Please be respectful and do not leave with your child once they have performed.  The other students deserve an audience, and it will be disruptive to those performing on stage to have audience members and students up and down during the recital.  Thank you!
  • We suggest students bring a water bottle.
  • Even if the music is memorized, every performer must bring a copy of their music in case nerves kick in and they forget.
  • If using a book, please put a post-it note or a paper clip to mark the page in the book that the student or accompanist is playing from.
  • Dress appropriately:
  • Girls: Wear dress pants or a dress or skirt that is knee-length or longer.  Avoid low-cut backs or high slits.  Please wear proper undergarments that are not revealing.
  • Boys:  Dress pants, a buttoned dress shirt.  A sport jacket and/or tie is also acceptable.
  • Wear appropriate footwear. Both boys and girls should avoid athletic footwear, open-toed shoes, and flip-flops.
  • If you’re a piano player, remove inappropriate jewelry like large rings, and avoid glitzy or noisy/jingling jewelry, bangle bracelets, and large watches.

We look forward to hearing your child shine on stage!
