Broadway Master Class with Dee Tomasetta (Great Gatsby National Tour)

Dee Tomasetta is a Massachusetts native and graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned her BFA in Dance from the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She was honored with the SMTD Emerging Artist Alumni Award and was named Dancer of the Decade by BroadwayWorld.

Dee is currently serving as Swing and Assistant Dance Captain on the First National Tour of The Great Gatsby. She also works as an Associate Choreographer for the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of The Who’s Tommy. Additional Broadway/New York credits include The Who’s Tommy, Heart of Rock and Roll, SIX the Musical, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and the New York Spring Spectacular. She previously served as Associate Choreographer and Swing for The Who’s Tommy at the Goodman Theatre, where the production received nine Jeff Awards including Best Production and Best Choreography. She was also Assistant Choreographer for the original Broadway production of Heart of Rock and Roll, U.S. Associate Choreographer for the eight-time Tony-nominated SIX the Musical, and Associate Choreographer for the First National Tour of Finding Neverland, where she also performed the role of Peter Pan. Additional theater credits include Broadway labs of Heart of Rock and Roll, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Bliss.

Dee was a Top 15 finalist on Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance, where she began working with Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mia Michaels. She later assisted Michaels on multiple projects including So You Think You Can Dance, Joffrey Ballet projects, and Mia Michaels LIVE, and performed her work at the Geffen Playhouse honoring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Dick Van Dyke, and Diane Keaton.

Her film, television, and live performance credits include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 77th Annual Tony Awards, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Seasons 3–5), The Gilded Age (Seasons 1–2), the 2021 MET Gala, Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, America’s Got Talent, the NBC Upfronts, New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, and performances with Grammy nominee Aloe Blacc. Film credits include The SpongeBob Movie and Disney’s Freaky Friday movie musical.

In the commercial and fashion world, Dee has worked with MAC Cosmetics, Reebok, Gillette Venus, Beachbody, Openfit, Capezio, Enbrel, Hasbro, and New York Fashion Week.

In addition to performing, Dee is a passionate educator and serves on faculty at the Joffrey Ballet School, the Institute for American Musical Theatre, and AMDA in New York City. She continues to teach master classes, conventions, and intensives nationwide and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of artists.
