Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip-hop Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins in a 30-minute musical adventure of a lifetime.
Our Director, Choreographer and Musical Director will lead the students through rehearsals most Fridays-Sundays from March 7- April 24 (off Easter Sunday), performance on Sat, April 25.
Participants will perform selected scenes, music and dance through the characters and songs you know and love from the beloved movie. Madagascar Kids will focus on specially adapted material ideal for children who are just beginning to discover theatre.
Our staff will focus on process over product, encouraging creative risk taking. Participants will learn, grow, and have fun while building friendships and learning aspects of theatre. They will perform on the Madagascar Jr set at Rivertown Theater’s Lagniappe Stage.
